According to reports from CNET and The Washington Post, Sundar Pichai will appear before Congress on December 5. In his testimony, the Google CEO is expected to answer questions about Google’s politically biased search results and Google’s “Dragonfly” project to launch a censored search engine in China.

The last time Sundar Pichai appeared before officials from Washington was for a private meeting with Republican lawmakers in September this year. The upcoming testimony before the House Judiciary Committee will be a public meeting, and the media will be waiting for Pichai’s answers.

Google is under scrutiny for its biased search results. American President Google Trump accused Google of suppressing the voices of conservatives and displaying “rigged” results.

Google then issued a media statement refuting Trump’s claims of highlighting Barack Obama’s State of the Union address and snubbing his address.

Google’s Dragonfly Project, which will see the search giant’s re-entry into China. The company is developing a search engine that will suppress results that do not confirm China’s regulations.

The project has attracted massive criticism from Vice President Mike Pence, who advised Google to abandon its plan considering the increasing tensions between the two countries. Recently, Google’s own employees have signed a letter opposing the company’s decision to develop a search engine for China.
